After decently thorough testing, these are the Survivability rates and Quality of Most average gaming tools.

Xbox Controllers

Xbox controllers, though reliable in most aspects, are very prone to breaks over time, most commonly in the joysticks or bumpers, frequent use can even cause buttons to fall out, or cease function. Though the Xbox Wireless and Wired Controllers have very well designed form and good grip, many screws in the controller are prone to breaking or coming loose, which can cause many different issues and can render many controllers unusable. Over the course of my time using various gaming controllers, Xbox controllers have suffered breaks often, Though with decent care and attention, an Xbox controller will most likely last a long time.

Playstation Controllers

Playstation designs its controllers less Consistently, the Playstation DualSense in particular I find very good at Withstanding the abuse of day to day use, the controller is occasionally vulnerable to internal malfunction, but I have never been affected by anything of the sort in my own personal use. Though I find its grip less comfortable than Xbox designs, that is a matter of opinion and a Dualsense is a very good choice for a long lasting controller. However, the older Playstation DualShock is a very different story, though I do not usually see internal malfunctions in these controllers, I find they are more prone to external breakage, such as plastic cracking, Loss of joystick calibration, or other similar damage, The plastic on its own seems more breakable than other controllers, Though a decent alternative to other controllers, it is unlikely to last quite as long.

Nintendo Controllers

Nintendo controllers I Find are the MOST prone to breakage, Even when care is taken, I see most all Nintendo brand controllers begin to develop issues over time. External, such as plastic breaks, loss of joystick grip, or Loose buttons, or Internal, such as lack of button detection and joystick drift. Though nintendo controllers tend to be decently designed for their purpose, they are Typically less built to last even in optimal conditions, which could be a problem for many.

Third Party Controller

The 8bitdo ultimate is a Decent alternative to console controllers, it is built for Bluetooth and usually wont run into MANY issues with computer software, though the button layout is reminiscent of Nintendo brand machines, which may confuse some people who are unfamiliar with that layout. The controller also has a more Square-like shape, and is less rounded, which could lead to discomfort for some Gamers. Though it has more buttons and more ability to map things to complex games. it is a High quality product And very functional for the average gamer, and can stand alongside larger brand controllers.

Conclusion

All controllers have their uses and faults, and some are better than others, it ultimately comes to what you’re looking for in a Gamepad.
